This is one of the biggest benefits of having an assisted suicide system in place. Having a progressive disease with no hope for a cure is terrible enough in itself, but knowing that you’ll have to suffer through every bit of it makes it much worse.
Knowing that a quick and painless death is an option allows people to enjoy whatever good time they have left, instead of spending it worrying about the horrors the future holds.
